Can we discuss Animations and rigging?

Hello, I'm a 3D cinematographer, as well as a very avid mmorpg player for most of my life. First off I'd like to say a lot of the aesthetics are very interesting and definitely have a appeal to the art style.
The lighting looks wonderful in all the showcase cuts, panning shots etc. I really enjoy how the materials are EASILY identified at first glance, metals, organics, leathers, cloth simulations, spells. It all looks very pretty.

What DOES concern me is the IK system and the actual response of when things Happen. I.E. When my sword hits target does it react properly, is there IMPACT. A lot of the mobs (not all) but a LOT of them are EXTREMELY floaty.. Gliding or ice skating across terrain, this is SOOOOOO immersive breaking. The mouth movement during Dialog seems extremely hit / miss. Some of the mouths opening like a dentist saying "open wide and say: awwwhh".
Again - very immersive breaking when you have such a detailed world.

If we've learned anything from games in the recent, pretty doesn't mean good. That's not to harp on the product, I will say though as a immediate example 'Once Human' LOOKS very nice, but after biting into it, you realize its a hallow shell of a game, just a husk with nic-naks dangling off the sides to look pretty.

As someone who has spent thousands of dollars on my gaming hobbies. One of the most immediate things that will cause me to stop playing a immersive RPG is my immersion being continuely broken by poor animations/rigging/ik systems. It's that itchy reminder in the back of your head that says "hey you're just playing a video game, its not that cool".

Part of the reason people are STILL playing New World is not for the actual PVE content, but the gameplay overall - a very refined action mmorpg. Now where that game failed is content and PvE / updates that is leading to his population being null and void.

I do have a concern with the Ai being responsible for creating content, I'm sure it can ease workflow but if the tool is not used correctly and told what to do correctly, it will lead to the exact same end-result as Starfield where you have a lot of NOTHING and generated crab that again - Feels Hallow - Empty - *SOULLESS* - And I'm not sure if Dev's realize it at this point moving into 2024, but if your game has no Soul, No mojo, No realy BODY and juice to the product. . The Players can tell, and they can tell very quick. Consider the 20 years of just WoW and the mass amounts of content pumped into their game. Even the content that IS written by humans and reviewed edited and finalized, if done poorly, the Fans / players recognize these things extremely quick.

I truly hope there will be refinement and effort put in both Mechanics/Combat and story driven RP elements, these are things that are required for a mass multi to keep a player base longer then 2-3 months.
